The appeal for Milton Keynes

Every young person in MK deserves a central place

MK Yard will be an inclusive Youth Zone for Milton Keynes. A place where young people are safe, doing something constructive, mixing and socialising, and accepted for exactly who they are. Built with young people and families, for mainstream and SEND young people alike.

Why now

The gap is real, and so is the opportunity

Families in Milton Keynes face a postcode lottery for youth provision, with some paying monthly fees simply because they live in the wrong place. Young people need structured leisure time and less structured space to socialise, chances to take and make safe risks, and informal education that sparks careers, interests and confidence. MK Yard brings it all under one roof.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

Safe and welcoming

A place parents trust and young people choose. Somewhere to feel safe and happy, accepted and heard, and understood rather than judged.

๐Ÿ’œ

Genuinely inclusive

For all young people: mainstream and SEND, with or without an EHCP, including those who have struggled with behaviour elsewhere. Monotropic and neurodivergent learning styles designed in from day one.

๐Ÿ”ฅ

Sparks into futures

Future blacksmiths, mosaic artists, archaeologists, coders and community leaders. Strength based, hands on youth work that leads somewhere.

For major donors

Shape the Yard with Anna Day

Anna Day FRSA MCIOF is the founder of MK Yard and NeuroAdvantage CIC. Over 22 years she has led four charities, coached more than 400 chief executives and helped raise over ยฃ24 million for good causes. As an autistic leader and parent, this project is personal.

A conversation, not a pitch

Transformational gifts deserve time and trust. Book a private conversation with Anna to explore the vision, walk through the plans, and discuss how your giving could be recognised, from naming a space to founding an endowed programme.
